Inglot Haul.

Hi Guys! We hope you all are doing well. Thank you so much for all the love on our blogposts.

A few weeks back I bought some products from the brand Inglot. So today I decided to share them with you so you could have a look and maybe buy them if you like any of them.

So Inglot is a brand that I started using only a few months back. I had used their liquid liners and nail polishes and liked their products so got a few more this time.
You can find Inglot at the Phoenix Market City ( kurla, Mumbai) Store or buy it online on Nykaa.

Now, Lets get to the products.

 Pro Blending Sponge

I picked the orange blender among other choices like the yellow and green and pink.

Rs- 1650.

Soft Precision Eyeliner

Each shade has a number,
Green -30
Grey - 32
Purple -27.
Apart from these shades they had teal green, black and white.

I did happen to use these liners on my lower waterline and the grey and green (a bright green) worked really well.
The purple felt really light , but I do feel it will work really well on my eyelids.

Rs- 600 Each

Swatches for Grey, Purple and Green (From top to bottom )

Freedom System Blush and palette

The blush in the shade 53 is a light sheer coloured shimmery blush. It has a slight coral tone to it. It is not too pigmented so you can work well with it and build up the colour as you want.
The blush came as an individual piece without any brush or cover. It was just covered in a clear plastic case.

I bought the palette as a separate piece. It is quite sturdy and come with a mirror and a small brush.

Blush - Rs. 400
Palette- Rs. 700

 Lip paint

The Lip paint is in the shade 64. It has a thick consistency and can be applied with a brush or your fingers. 64 is a beautiful coral shade, reddish pink and has a glossy effect.
This could be perfect for a day outing or for any summery outfit.

Rs. 720

Matte Lipsticks

I bought three Matte Lipsticks in the shades 434, 426 and 429.
The lipsticks feel really light and are applied smoothly in one go.

Swatches for 434,426,429 (from top to bottom)

434 is a bright pink shade. ( It looks brighter on the lips compared to the swatch. )
426 is a berry-burgundy shade.
429 is a bright red

Rs. 1150

Thats all for this post.
Apart from these products I have a few nail polishes, liquid liners, lipsticks, Sleeks Cream Lip paint and illuminators, do tell us if you would like to know about those products as well.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion Review.

Hey guys! Hope you all are doing well.

In this week’s blogpost, I will be reviewing the La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel & Astringent Lotion.

La Roche Posay is a French brand that specialises in products for sensitive skin. Thus its ingredients are paragon free and it does not include any potentially irritating ingredients. All the ranges have been worked in collaboration with dermatologists.Their popular ranges are Lipikar for dry skin, Anthelios for photo protection, Cicaplast for skin repair, Toleraine for sensitive skin and Effaclar for acne treatment.

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion has been on my wish list ever since it was launched a few months ago. La Roche Posay is supposedly a drugstore brand. However it is not exactly affordable in India. So I decided to wait for a good sale and bought it on 15% off along with The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel. I was not really keen on purchasing the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + Acne Treatment Cream as I think its a little too expensive for the tiny quantity so I gave it a miss.

The La Roche Posay Effaclar range works best for people with oily and acne prone skin. However according to me, people with normal or dry skin can use these products when they face breakouts. It might be too drying for their skin on a regular basis.

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel

Price
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel retails for Rs.450 for 50ml.

Packaging
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel comes in a white tube with a blue cap. On the front of the tube, the brand logo along with some product details have been mentioned in English and French. On the back of the tube, there is a list of ingredients.

Fragrance
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel has a strong fragrance which could be due to the citric acid it contains. The fragrance is not strong enough to bother anyone.

Application
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel is the first step  of the CTM routine. One should take a tiny amount of the gel on your fingers and rub it in circular motions on one’s wet face for a minute. Then gently wash off the foam.

Usage
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel is a cleanser that helps clear the face off any dirt and impurities.

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion

Price
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion retails for Rs.1190 for 200ml.

Packaging
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion comes in a transparent cylindrical bottle with a white cap. Just like the foaming gel, the front of the bottle has the the brand logo and product details whereas the back has the list of ingredients.

Fragrance
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion has the same fragrance as the La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel.

Application
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion is the second step of the CTM routine. Take a small amount of the toner onto a cotton swab and wipe our face with it.

Usage
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion is basically a toner and thus helps deep clean and tighten pores. However since it contains salicylic acid, it also works as a micro exfoliant.

Pros
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion are travel friendly.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion reduce breakouts.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion reduce redness on acne spots and scars.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion works as both a toner and a micro exfoliant.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion will last for over 6 months since you require only a time amount for each time.

Cons
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion are slightly expensive.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion may dry out your skin if used too frequently.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion does not provide you with any fancy packaging for the price you are paying.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel is a little too small in size and little too expensive.

My Verdict
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion might be an investment buy if you are a student or just on a budget but I personally feel its totally worth the price if you have acne prone oily skin. If you have redness due to acne scars, this toner is exactly what you are looking for. It helps repair the damage done to your skin slowly. If your skin is not too problematic, you can probably find a more reasonable alternative. The La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel complements the  La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion very well. It helps reduce breakouts but does not do much to reduce redness and heal acne scars. There are many cleansers that help reduce breakouts just as well at a more affordable price like The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Wash. So even though it does a pretty good job, I would not repurchase it.

Rulling Over All

Hey there!! How are you guys surviving the Mumbai heat?

In this week's post, I will be sharing my current favourite denim outfit.

When we think about denims, we usually think about jeans or a jacket. However today I’m going to write about a pair of Denim Overalls or Dungarees that have become my go to outfit over the past two months.

I always loved overalls. They seemed so comfortable and looked perfect for a casual outing. I looked around in many stores but never really found one which fit me perfectly. I finally found a pair of ripped denim overalls at Forever 21
(Oberoi Mall, Goregaon) and since then they have been my favourite thing to wear.

Shorts, full length pants or even dresses, you have a variety of options and they are super comfortable in the summers.
The one I have is a full length light blue one, with rips on both the knees. It fits really well, and is very comfortable. It has pockets on both sides which is just an added benefit.

These can be worn with plain, colourful tees or even shirts. They can be paired with some cute crop tops as well.

For footwear, I like donning sneakers if I’m going shopping or meeting my friends, however, you can take your casual look up a notch with some heels and the right accessories.

The Face Shop Real Nature Masks Reviews.

Hey guys! Hope you all are doing well.

In this week’s post, I will be reviewing the Face Shop Real Nature Masks.

A few weeks ago, I had reviewed the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Masks and it received a lot of love from all of you. If you have not checked it out yet, you can check it out here.
In the same week, The Face Shop, a Korean skincare brand, was launched on Nykaa. There is an international buzz about Korean skincare and I personally really enjoying sheet masks. They had “10 for the price of 5” offer for their sheet masks and I could not resist getting them.

The Face Shop Real Nature Masks are similar to the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Masks in a lot of ways. However I still decided to do a review on these since there are more variants in this range than Innisfree.

Without any further ado, lets get into the review.

Price
The Face Shop Real Nature Masks retail for Rs.100 each.

Variants
The Face Shop Real Nature Masks are available in over 20 variants in India.

Packaging

The Face Shop Real Nature Mask is very similar to the InnisfreeIt’s Real Squeeze Masks. It comes in a plastic packet with the picture of main ingredient along with the name in front. At the back there are some instructions in Korean as well as English. There is a hinge from which you can tear the packet open with your hands. It is placed well so that you do not need up tearing the sheet mask while opening the packet. Once you open the packet, you will find the sheet mask inside folded well.
Within the Real Nature Masks range, there are 2 different ranges. One of them claims to contain no parabens and is packaged in white along with the picture of the main ingredient. The other one packaged in grey makes no such claim. Thus I assume it does contain parabens.

Fragrance

The Face Shop Real Nature Mask smells of the main ingredient of the mask along with fresh perfume like sweet scent.

Application

The Face Shop Real Nature Mask should be used once you are done cleaning and toning your face.
Once you open the packet, you remove the sheet mask carefully. You unfold it and hold it upright right before your face. The sheet mask may or may not fit your face perfectly as the shape of everyone’s face is a little different.  However place the area for the eye holes and mouth hole properly and try to cover as much area of your face possible with the sheet. You can keep it on for 20- 30 minutes after which you must throw it out. Do not wash off the serum of your face. Let your skin absorb it.The mask is meant only for 1 time use. You can use the mask twice a week or whenever you feel your skin needs something extra.

Variants

White Tea helps in illuminating your skin.

Goji Berry helps moisturize your skin.

Longan helps nourish your skin.

Green Tea helps purify your skin.

Rice helps brighten your skin.

Kelp helps purify your skin.

Lemon helps brighten your skin.

Lingzhi helps keep your skin firm.

Pros

It is very cost effective.
It is easy to use.
It is well packaged.
There are different variants for different skin types and different skin problems.
There are instant results.
Each variant has its benefit mentioned on the packet.

Cons

It can and should be used only once.
You can not move around too much.
The results last only for a day or two.
The Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask seems to be more drenched in serrum.
Scent seemed a little artificial.

My Verdict.

The Face Shop Real Nature Masks have a larger variety than the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Masks, which makes it easier for everyone to find the exact mask that works for their skin. It is really affordable and gives your skin the extra push it needs for some important days. However I personally prefer the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Masks over the Face Shop Real Nature Masks. The Tea Tree variant works amazingly well for my skin and I have not found a replacement for it in the Face Shop Real Nature Masks.

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes Review.

Hey guys! Hope you all are doing well.

In this week’s post, I will be reviewing the Maybelline Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette.

One of my 2017 resolutions is to improve at eye make up specifically application of eyeshadow. I have seen like a bazillion tutorials but when it comes to eye shadow I personally end up taking a back seat. Last year I started with some neutral matte shades and I was really tempted to purchase the Maybelline Blushed Nudes when it was launched. Finally on Christmas my most adorable sister gifted it to me. I have worn it a couple of times and will be reviewing based on my experience.

Price

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes retails for Rs.900.

Packaging

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes is a rose gold palette with 12 eyeshadows out of which 2 are matte shades and 10 are shimmery shades. On the bottom of the palette, the shades are divided into quads (4 shades), trios (3 shades)  and duos (2 shades) along with a brief instruction on how and where to apply them.

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes also includes an applicator with an eyeshadow applicator sponge on one side and a tiny flat eyeshadow brush on the other. The palette does not include a mirror.

Texture

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes is moderately pigmented. The texture of all the shades differ from one another. The shimmery shades apply smoothly. The matte shades go on a little chalky. All the shades can be easily layered over each other to achieve better colour intensity.

Swatches for the bottom line right to left.

Swatches for the top line right to left.

Fragrance

The Maybelline Blushed Nudes does not have any fragrance.

Longevity

With some setting spray, the eyeshadows last for 5-6 hours with the same colour vibrancy. The colour may lose its intensity but the shimmer stays on for 8-9 hours.

Pros

Travel friendly.
Beginner friendly.
Easy to blend.
Affordable.
The instructions on the bottom are really helpful.

Cons

Some of the shades are similar to another.
Only 2 matte shades.
The pigmentation of the matte shades is chalky.
The applicator is no good.

My Verdict

Even though this palette has quite a few flaws, it works well for me since I am not an expert at eye make up but if you are looking to create some bold and colourful looks, you should probably this one a miss.

That is all for this post. I hope you found it useful. If you have any suggestions or comments, please leave it down in a comment.
